Goals and tasks of Scientometrics unit : Unit objectives

The goals of the Scientometric Unit of Golestan University of Medical Sciences:
1- Monitoring the researches of academic staff members and university researchers in order to increase the quality and quantity of the level of research
2- Providing the required reports on a fixed and periodic basis or as the situation calls for
3- Supporting the scientific measurement system of the academic staff of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education

Description of duties of Scientometric Unit of Golestan University of Medical Sciences
1- Presenting reports of scientific productions of the university according to different scientific metrics in reference databases
2- Extracting the most cited articles of the university in Web of science, Scopus, Google scholar, in one-year, three-year, five-year, and ten-year time intervals.
3- Extraction of the top thirty university articles based on the IF journal in the JCR database at the end of each year
4- Presenting and updating the articles of faculty members and researchers of the university according to the international and domestic authoritative profile letters
5- Annual report of authoritative and non-authoritative international journals
6- Providing reports on the research activities of academic staff members and researchers according to scientometric indicators in citation databases
7- Monthly monitoring and editing of scientific measurement system of faculty members
8- Presenting the report of the top scientists of the university based on the reports extracted from the ESI databases based on the indicators provided by the Ministry of Health Research and Technology Deputy
9- Presenting the report of the most cited university authors in Google scholar, scopus, web of science databases
10- Introducing the top ten researchers based on IF
11- Introducing faculty members and researchers with the most articles in the Google scholar, scopus, web of science databases annually, three-yearly, and five-yearly
12- Presenting periodical reports of the ranking status of the university according to valid international indicators and monitoring the changes in the status of the university
13- Extracting the ranking of the university based on the amount of scientific productions in Google scholar, scopus, web of science databases on an annual, three-year and five-year basis and comparison with the country's University of Medical Sciences
